Sao Paulo had warned that they would make it difficult for Junior Cesar to leave the club but in the end they made it easy. Yesterday the club confirmed that the defender would leave for Flamengo.
“We had a discussion with Flamengo last Friday,” said Sao Paulo’s vice president, João Paulo. “They accepted our conditions. The player said he wanted to leave, and our policy is to keep the players happy.”
Alex Silva might also leave the club. The central defender had a few disagreements with the direction and is still under contract with Hamburg. The Germans seem unwilling to lend him again.
“We are waiting Hamburg’s answer. But today I’m less optimistic than I was before,” said Jesus Lopes.
