Eder Lima was presented to the press yesterday as Santos look to strengthen defensively to help them turn round their poor form in the league.
The player comes from the Vila Nova-GO and may be used by Muricy Ramalho as a left-back but he can also play in midfield.
Born in Sao Vicente, Lima will stay at the club until December in a loan deal although the club do have an option to send him back.
If Lima can impress the management enough, the 25-year-old will make his move permanant in a three-year deal.
His debut could occur today away to Avai.
