Fluminense midfielder Souza will automatically be handed a ban after receiving a late-red card, whilst boss Abel Braga may face more punishment having been dismissed from the bench during the game.

More serious though are the charges against Rafael Moura and Renato Abreu who both face maximum sentences of twelve games for their actions.

Rafael Moura was incensed by an elbow from the Flamengo midfielder Renato, which if deemed to have been deliberate may be punished with a 4-12 game ban..

However, the Fluminense striker pulled shame upon himself by spitting at the rival player, missing the target and finding the eye of teammate Deco. Spitting carries a punishment of 6-12 games and given that the incident was caught clearly by TV cameras, the ‘He-Man’ could be in big trouble.
