Struggling to recruit a striker for the January transfer window, the Spaniards are enticed by the fact that Dagoberto’s contract expires on April 18, 2012 and thus, will be available for a low fee in January.
Although Dagobert already has the freedom to sign a pre-contract with any club, in order to have the player in January the Spanish team would need to pay a fee to the Morumbi club.
If not, he could only join Sevilla when his contract ends, which would be next summer’s transfer window.
The signs are Dagoberto will not renew at the Morumbi, with Internacional the favourites to mop up his signature upon contract expiry.
