Willians, 26, has long been considered one of the best central-midfielders in Brazil and news of a possible move to Europe will come as little-surprise to those aware of his talents.
“The information I have is not official, but Udinese, two months ago, surveyed the player and approached me saying there was interest.” Dias told Radio Brasil.
“It was confirmed that the player had an interest in going to Europe, like so many. Even more for a team that has a good place in the championship and has a history.
“But nothing is official yet. We are waiting. Possibly this window, that month, there will be a proposal.”
With Flamengo crashing out of the Copa Libertadores this week, it is set to become more of a struggle to retain some of their rising stars this campaign.
