Flamengo director Zinho has revealed that Juventus are yet to make a bid for young midfielder Thomas.

The 19-year-old is reportedly a target of the Italian giants but the Rio de Janeiro based club have confirmed that no formal offer has been put forward.

Zinho has already expressed that Flamengo are willing to listen to offers for Thomas, but insisted that he has not heard from the Serie A champions.

He told Lancenet: “No official offer has so far arrived from Juventus for Thomas.

“If it arrives, we will discuss between all involved parties what will be done.”

Earlier in the week, some Brazilian sources claimed that Fifa agent Mario Miele was in the company of a representative from the Italian club to initiate talks for the 19-year-old.

It was also reported that the Bianconeri had offered around €400,000 to acquire Thomas’ services on a season-long loan, with Juan going in the opposite direction, but this also turned out to be incorrect.

Thomas, who is part of the Brazil Under-20 set-up has an Italian passport and would not cost the club a non-EU transfer.
