Internacional defender Juan was left feeling disappointed after Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Porutguesa despite scoring on his debut for the Colorado.

The 33-year-old joined Inter on a free transfer from Roma in July after agreeing to terminate his contract with the Italian club.

Juan had spent the last five months on the sidelines nursing a knee injury but came on against Portuguesa and scored a header halfway through the second half.

The former Brazil international’s goal, though, only proved to be worth a point as Marcelo Cordeiro netted the equaliser at the Estadio do Caninde.

”I’ve worked hard to recover,” Juan told reporters. ”Of course I was not in the ideal condition to play as I have only being training for a month, but my team-mates helped a lot.

”I’d swap my goal for the victory.”
