Mano Menezes has opted for experience as Brazil prepare to take on Argentina in the first-leg of the 2012 Superclassico das Americas on Wednesday night, recalling the likes of Jadson and Luis Fabiano.

In defence, there are few surprises with Jefferson picked to play in-goal once more and the league’s outstanding centre-backs Dedé and Réver partnered in the centre. Experienced full-backs Lucas and Fábio Santos will be handed international debuts.

The midfield will be based upon the unit that guided Corinthians to the Copa Libertadores title, with volantes Ralf and Paulinho united in the colours of Brazil – whilst the Brasileirão’s top assist maker Jadson will support the livewire attacking midfielder Lucas Moura in supplying the team’s forwards.

In attack, Menezes has stuck with the anticipated forward combination of Neymar and Luis Fabiano, with the latter earning his first call-up since the 2010 World Cup following his outstanding league form. Both players have been free-scoring domestically and will hope to continue the trend this evening.

The game will take place in Goiania, with kick-off at 2am BST.

Seleção: Jefferson; Lucas Marques, Dedé, Réver, Fábio Santos; Ralf, Paulinho, Jadson, Lucas Moura; Neymar, Luís Fabiano
