In the final 48 hours of the transfer window, which closed on Friday night, Flamengo completed the signing of three players from Serie B – Cléber Santana, Renato Santos and Wellington Bruno – to complete a busy summer at the Gávea.

Cléber Santana, 31, is the biggest name amongst the new additions, having spent three years at Atlético Madrid, before returning to Brazil with São Paulo.

The attacking-midfielder is now expected to slot straight into the Rubro-Negro side for this weekend’s encounter with lowly Atlético Goianiense, having finished his loan-spell at Avaí early to join Fla, along with central-defender Renato Santos.

While the duo trained with Flamengo on Friday, Wellington Bruno was in the final stages of completing his move to the club from Ipatinga in Minas Gerais.

The scorer of six goals from midfield this Série B campaign, Wellington is expected to play a supporting role from the bench for the remainder of the season.

Expected line-up: Felipe, Wellington Silva, Frauches, Gonzáles e Ramon; Cáceres, Ibson, Luiz Antonio, Cléber Santana e Adryan; Vagner Love.
