São Paulo have already set about making initial progress in the recruitment of players for the 2013 season, according to numerous reports in Brazil.

It is believed that topping the list of targets currently is Figueirense striker Aloisio, 24, scorer of nine Série A goals for the relegation-bound Santa Catarina side.

Lancenet report that conversations have already taken place with the out-of-contract player’s agent, Eduardo Uram – who already manages the likes of Maicon, Cortez and Cicero at the Morumbi.

Elsewhere, the club have been looking at the Série B market for talent. ASA striker Lúcio Maranhão, 24, has scored 37 goals this year to attract attention, whilst the club’s midfielder Valdivia, 19, is also under observation. Lucca, 22, a forward at second placed Criciuma is another player linked.

São Paulo have, of course, already secured the signing of Paulo Henrique Ganso, who is considered unlikely to play ahead of the 2013 season, but will lose Lucas Moura to Paris St-Germain. Out-of-contract Willian José is another likely to leave the club.

The Paulista outfit are intent on refurnishing their options for the new season, including a revamp of their youth teams. The club have already agreed a deal for the Desportivo Brasil quartet of Gladestony, Diego Carlos, Daniel Chula and the highly-rated Lucas Evangelista ahead of the 2013 Copa São Paulo de Futebol Junior.
