Figueirense shocked Internacional in the final minutes at the Beira-Rio to keep their faint hopes of Brasileirão survival alive.
Goals from Roni and Aloisio in the final three minutes of normal time were enough to secure the three points for the Santa Catarina side, having twice fallen behind in the encounter.
Internacional took an expected lead with ten minutes to play in the first-half when Dagoberto seized upon a mistake by Figueirense right-back Elsinho to break into the area and finish smartly past Wilson to open the scoring.
Figueirense, though, hit back in fine style just moments before the interval as tricky playmaker Roni picked out a sublime through-ball to find striker Aloisio, who finished with aplomb past Muriel in the Internacional net.
The hosts would retake the lead midway through the second period through the powerful figure of Rafael Moura, bundling home the ball to score his long-awaited first goal for the Porto Alegre side.
Inter looked for all the world to be heading for a win but, with only a couple of minutes left on the clock, Figueirense pulled off a result out of nowhere. First, Roni was on-hand at the back-post to turn home Claudinei’s clever squared ball, before Aloisio found himself unmarked in the final minute to head home Doriva’s cross and give his side a lifeline.
Figueirense now find themselves seven points from safety with just seven games remaining.
