São Paulo head coach Ney Franco has made no secret of his desire to add to his striking options at Morumbi and with the 2012 Brasileirão drawing to a close, there is much speculation on who the club will go after, especially as they contemplate life without PSG bound Lucas Moura.
Speaking after seeing his side beat La U in Chile on Wednesday night, Franco named Figueirense striker Aloísio as somebody they are looking at.
He said: “He’s a player that matters, being busy and has caught my attention by scoring 12 goals in the Brasileirão. He is a player that we have followed well and is interesting. If we can sign him the he will help a lot.”
The former Brazil under-20 coach was also quick to praise striker Willian José, who despite a good State Championship, has struggled in the league this year.
“First, in relation to William, he has everything to be one of the best in Brazilian football. He is 20 years old.
“The first major experience was the basis of selection. He was hired by a large team, and several times had to come in and score.”
