Udinese midfielder Willians has joined Internacional on a season-long loan after a disappointing six months in Italy.

The 26-year-old joined the Serie A side last summer after three years with Flamengo, but only managed to make five league appearances.

Willians is no longer in the plans of coach Francesco Guidolin after a series of poor performances riddled with costly errors.

Therefore, the Brazilian has been allowed to join the Porto Alegre team until the end of the season, with an option to purchase him outright in June.

The defensive midfielder, who is nicknamed the “pitbull” and “bulldog”, won the Brasileirão title with Flamengo in 2009.
