Goiás were the first side to advance to the final of the 2013 Copa São Paulo, after a penalty shootout victory over Bahia.
Goiás’ Matheus opened the scoring early in the first-half, before Goiás’ Erick pulled his side level.
After a goalless second-half in which keeper Paulo Henrique saved a spot-kick from Bahia’s Rayllan, the teams went to penalties, where the keeper repeated the trick to send his side through to the final.
Later, as Santos took on Palmeiras in the second semi-final, a hat-trick from forward Neilton saw the Peixe to a 3-2 win.
