Santos coach Muricy Ramalho has accepted the recent criticism he has received as he does not believe his side are playing well.
The Peixe only have four points from their last four Campeonato Paulista games and has been criticised by the local press.
However, the 57-year-old says he does not take much notice of the pressure, but does admit that he understands it.
He said: “When I began my career it was something that worried me a lot. Nowadays it does not affect me anymore.
“I understand the criticism, because we are not playing well at all. We deserve no praise, because the only game that was good was against São Paulo [3-1 win on February 3].
“I know that there is pressure but it"s not something that worries me."
Muricy, however, revealed that he has the support of president Luis Álvaro de Oliveira Ribeiro, who has assured him there are no problems.
“The president has made it clear to me that there are no problems. Yet we know that there are many opinions in football," he added.
“Now if they [the board] say it"s okay, I believe it, because people are transparent and easy to recognise when they are telling the truth."
