Fabio played the full ninety minutes as Harry Redknapp’s QPR revived hopes of a great escape after a emphatic 3-1 win over a lacklustre Sunderland side.

Goals from Loic Rémy, Andros Townsend and Jermaine Jenas gave the Rs a much needed three points and propels them to within four points of safety.

Fabio earned a start in Redknapp’s first eleven and gave an assured performance as QPR strolled to a comfortable win.

The day looked to have turned for the worst when Steven Fletcher struck in the opening minutes of the game but Rémy equalised before half-time to level proceedings.

On-loan Townsend then completed the turnaround before Jenas put a gloss on the result in the last minute of the game.
