São Paulo’s manager Ney Franco has dropped former Inter Milan defender Lúcio to the bench, following his public complaints after having been subbed off in the last game.

Lúcio has however already apologized for his comments and affirmed that he will accept any decision Ney Franco makes.

Rafael Tolói and Edson Silva will be the two starters for tomorrow’s game against São Bernardo against São Bernardo.

Lúcio arrived this year, after a poor spell at Juventus and has so far failed to live up to the hype in Brazil.

São Paulo’s remaining centrebacks Rhodolfo and Paulo Miranda are recovering from injury and did not participate in today’s training game.

Wellington is suspended and will not play, while Osvaldo has been called up for the national team and thus will not be available either.

Ganso is back to first team as Ney Franco makes a new attempt to field him alongside Jádson.

The first team line-up in today’s training game was: Rogério Ceni, Rodrigo Caio, Rafael Tolói, Edson Silva and Thiago Carleto; Denílson, Maicon, Paulo Henrique Ganso and Jádson; Wallyson and Luís Fabiano.
