Vasco’s manager Paulo Autuori admitted yesterday that Dedé is leaving the club in the next transfer window, as the club are in financial trouble.

Dedé is widely regarded as one of the best Brazilian defenders and is a favorite among Vasco fans.

The defender has been linked to a number of foreign and Brazilian clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester United, Milan, Juventus, Corinthians and Cruzeiro.

Paulo Autuori told press the following about Dedé’s future: “I know Dedé is leaving, we talked about this since when I was negotiating with the club, I won’t make up stories as that only complicates things”.

The club’s director Cristiano Koehler has also confirmed he is likely to leave, he told Rádio Globo recently: “We have to work with a clear thinking in order not to mislead Vasco fans, Dedé will leave one day”.

Manager Paulo Autuori also decided to field Dedé against Olaria, despite his recent injury, he was expected to return only against Botafogo.
