Atlético Mineiro’s new signing Diego Tardelli is hopeful Scolari will call him up for Brazil’s upcoming game against Bolivia.

The national team squad will include only Brazil-based players, Scolari is expected to call up to two players from each team so that the clubs are not harmed in Copa Libertadores and other competitions.

Diego Tardelli is one of several Atlético Mineiro players that could get called up as Réver, Ronaldinho and Bernard are also shining this season.

He is hopeful Scolari will include him in the squad, he told Lancenet: “Look, I always have hope, I’m fighting to achieve that, I’m working for that objective, it’s up to me to reach the national team, I deserve it, and I’m not the one saying that, but rather other people who see things from a different perspective, so I’m hoping I get called up”.

The former São Paulo player admits that competition for a place in the squad will be fierve, he said: “I’m calm, I’ll be happy if I’m called up because I have this goal, but despite that, I’ll be hoping my teammates are called up. like Bernard, I support the return of Ronaldinho as he is in great form, Réver too”.

Brazil play against Bolivia on April 6 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, it will be Scolari’s fourth game since he became Brazil’s manager again. he is however yet to win a game.
