Internacional’s goalkeeper Lauro has been loaned to Série A club Portuguesa until the end of the season.
He joined the club in 2008, and was loaned to Ponte Preta last year but he has found himself without a place in Internacional’s squad as he was only the fourth goalkeeper, despite his experience. Lauro’s contract with Internacional expires in 2014.
The deal has been confirmed by the club’s executive director Newton Drummond, he told press: “Lauro is going on a loan until the end of the season.”
“We are signing a partnership deal with Portuguesa, so we will a percentage of his wages. I think it will be good for him to show his football.”
Lauro has played 114 games for Portuguesa, Internacional are expected to offload other players as well before the start of the Brazilian League in late May.
