Jonas scored an injury-time penalty to get himself on the scoresheet as Valencia ran riot in a 4-0 rout of Osasuna in La Liga.

The Brazilian joins Roberto Soldado, Ever Banega and Ricardo Costa as goalscorers in the victory at the Mestalla.

Soldado opened the scoring with his 19th goal of the season in the 39th minute before Costa added another just before the break to double Valencia’s lead.

Alejandro Arribas made things worse for Osasuna as he contrived to get himself sent off via a second yellow card by chopping down Soldado with only the goalkeeper to beat.

Banega curled in a superb free-kick for the third before David Timor received his marching orders, again for a second booking.

Jonas then rounded off the victory with a spot-kick after Fernando Macedo handled the ball in the penalty area.
