Botafogo forward Alex has returned to the club after ending his loan spell with Dibba Al Fujairah of the United Arab Emirates.

The 22-year-old striker will return to training this week, adding to Botafogo’s list of attackers which already includes Rafael Marques, Bruno Mendes, Elias, Henrique, and Sassá.

Alex managed to score ten goals in 23 games for his club in the UAE, having been there for just over a year.

Unfortunately, after promotion in 2010, his team were relegated this season, before Alex spent half of the 2012 season on loan with Joinville in the Braziliian second division.

He will be eager to rejoin the club and try to force his way into Oswaldo de Oliveira’s first team plans, alongside the host of attacking players Botafogo currently have on their books.
