Maxi Biancucchi is currently leading the Brasileirão scoring charts with three goals from two games, but it’s early days in the 2013 season, and he’s not getting carried away.

The Argentine has stated he is happy with the way things are going at the club and the way in which the fans have taken to him, but he’s not ready to consider himself an idol just yet.

“Of course the affection of the fans [is good for] any player to have, but I do not think [i’m an idol]." Biancucci commented.

"We are a team, we are thinking of winning things and my thoughts are [on the] importance of the collective."

His first goal of the season helped Vitória draw at home to Internacional, and then a brace away to Náutico contributed to their 3-0 victory in Recife.

Biancucchi went on to say: "It is important to score goals, but it is also important that our team is winning and [playing well]. My main concern is to help the team."
