Flamengo are interested in Arsenal’s left-back André Santos, according to reports in Brazilian press.
André Santos was loaned to Grêmio during the first half of the Brazilian season, but he left the club after failing to impress there.
Globo Esporte reports that there have been initial talks already, but time is running out as Brazil’s international transfer window closes on July 20.
Flamengo also need to sort out the situation of Ramón before signing André Santos, but other Brazilian clubs are believed to be interested in the Arsenal player.
André Santos’ contract with Arsenal expires only in 2015, but the English club do not plan to keep him in the squad next season.
Flamengo’s boss Mano Menezes has worked with André Santos before, when he managed Corinthians from 2008 to 2010.
