Former Barcelona star Rivaldo believes Neymar and Messi will get along well, despite concerns among some that they might clash.
Neymar was recently signed by Barcelona for a fee estimated in 57 million euros, if agent fees are considered.
The 2002 World Cup champion currently plays for São Caetano, he talked with Spanish newspaper Sport about Neymar: “I’m happy Barça signed Neymar. One of the biggest transfers of the last years. He’ll be among the best for years.
“That Neymar and Messi could not get along well is nonsense. On the contrary. Great players want the best players by their side.”
Rivaldo also believes Neymar will become the best player in the world, he said: “Like other Brazilians before, Neymar will have his big breakthrough at Barça. He will win the Ballon d’Or, no doubt.”
