Reports are circulating that AC Milan could be about to make a move for QPR goalkeeper Júlio César.

The Seleção ‘keeper was close to a loan move to Napoli, however QPR rejected any chance of a loan deal, stating any move must be permanent.

Since then Napoli have signed Liverpool stopper Jose Reina, leaving the door open for Milan to swoop for César.

The shot-stopper does not intend to remain at the London club following their relegation from the Premier League, reports Football Italia.

His agent revealed on Saturday that his negotiations with Napoli faltered due to personal terms, as he wouldn’t accept a pay cut.

They would be prepared to pay the €2.7m per season wages the 33-year-old currently earns at QPR.

It’d be a return to San Siro for Julio César, who represented Milan’s city rivals Inter from 2005 to 2012.

Arsenal are also still said to be tracking Júlio César, meaning Milan could have a fight on their hands if they want to land the Brazil international.
