Botafogo’s Dutch star Clarence Seedorf thinks the 1-1 draw with Flamengo for the Brazilian national league was fair.

The Estrela Solitária team dominated the first half, opening the score with Rafael Marques, but Flamengo were better in the second half, reaching the equalizer with Elias just before the final whistle.

Seedorf thus believes the draw was fair, he told reporters after the game: We didn’t do anything in the second half and they deserved the draw.

“We actually played in the first half, they did better in the second one. We couldn’t keep our level and the manager made good changes, we paid for our effort this week (Botafogo played a Brazilian Cup game), so the draw is fair.”
