Fabio Da Silva starred as Manchester United continued their pre-season tour by beating Kitchee FC in Hong Kong.

The Brazilian scored United’s third goal in a 5-2 win in tough conditions with the state of the pitch being questioned after the fifth game in six days.

Fabio started the game at right back and fellow Brazilian Anderson also started the game in the heart of the United midfield.

United took the lead after 16 minutes when England striker Danny Welbeck scored before Chris Smalling headed home a second.

Then it was Fabio’s time to shine as he calmly slid the ball through the leg of a defender into the far corner of the goal with the outside of his right boot.

Kitchee threatened a come back when they scored twice in quick succession in the second half to pull the score back to 3-2.

However, two second half substitutes made the game safe for United when Jesse Lingard and Adnan Januzaj scored to make it five.

United made a number of second half changes, as is in most pre-season matches and Fabio was replaced by his twin Rafael to give the Seleção international some more game time as the new Premier League season approaches.
