Lucas Moura has expressed his delight at being called up for the Luiz Felipe Scolari’s Seleção squad to face Switzerland in a friendly next month.

The PSG star was recalled along with the majority of Brazil’s Confederations squad for the August 14 fixture and says he is pleased for club teammate Maxwell.

“I am very pleased with this meeting and proud to represent the flag again. I am also very happy for my teammates Thiago Silva and especially Maxwell deserved this call,” Lucas posted on Instagram.

Scolari has picked all 11 of his supposed first choice team including Barcelona’s new signing Neymar despite the fact that most have only just returned from a belated holiday for pre-season training at their European clubs.

The game will take place at FC Basel’s Jakob Park stadium on August 14 and will be followed in September by friendlies with Australia and Portugal as Scolari begins final preparations in the run up to next year’s World Cup.
