Palmeiras highly-rated defender Henrique hopes to stay at the club despite interest from Spanish club Villarreal.
Henrique had been sold to Barcelona and returned to Palmeiras in 2011, after loan spells at Bayer Leverkusen and Racing Santander.
The defender talked with Superesportes about his future, he said: “I talked with my agent and they did show interest, wanted to know what I want.
“But I said that I don’t want to leave, I want to stay at Palmeiras. They talked with me and with my agent and none of us wants that I leave the club.”
The defender plans to stay at Palmeiras at least until the end of the Brazilian football season, in December.
Palmeiras are currently in first place in the national second division.
