Oscar scored in his first game of pre-season to help Chelsea claim a 2-0 victory over 10-man Inter Milan in the International Champions Cup on Thursday.

The Indianapolis crowd did not have to wait long for the opening goal as Inter found themselves caught out in the attacking third and the Blues took full advantage of a three-on-three situation.

Oscar was the beneficiary as the Brazil international finished with a fine curled effort in the 13th minute, following an imposing run down the middle by Victor Moses.

Petr Cech did well to keep out a deflected shot from Rodrigo Palacio eight minutes later, before Chelsea were awarded a controversial penalty in the 27th minute.

Replays showed Moses had been brought down just outside the area but nevertheless Eden Hazard stepped up to convert the spot-kick.

The Blues almost made it 3-0 early in the second half but Romelu Lukaku’s thunderous strike cannoned off the post, before Inter’s task was made even tougher just minutes later.

Argentine defender Hugo Campagnaro was shown a straight red card for a dangerous challenge on a grounded John Terry in the 58th minute.

However, Jose Mourinho’s side failed to make the most of their advantage as Fernando Torres saw an effort from the edge of the area easily saved by Juan Pablo Carrizo, before another substitute Demba Ba was also denied by Carrizo 10 minutes from time.

Ramires and Juan Jesus played the whole 90 minutes for Chelsea and Inter respectively, while fellow Brazilians Jonathan and David Luiz came on as a second half substitutes.
