Sevilla lodge €5.9m bid for Corinthians' Ralf - report
Sevilla have lodged a €5.9 million bid for Corinthians midfielder Ralf according to reports in Brazil.
Diário de São Paulo claims that the Spanish club have made the bid and are awaiting a response from the Timão in the coming days.
However, the club is reluctant to sell another midfield star after the departure of Paulinho to Tottenham last month, but conceded that a sale was likely.
"We will only sell Ralf if he wants to be sold," Corinthians director of football Roberto de Andrade told the publication. "But, as we know, the chance is small."
After the victory over Grêmio on Wednesday, Ralf reportedly told friends about the offer and was said to be delighted with the contract offered by Sevilla.
At this moment, the midfielder is among the highest paid in the club after Corinthians offered him a new contract last summer to fend off interest from Fiorentina.
But now it seems Sevilla could be set to seal a move for the Brazilian defensive midfielder ahead of the new La Liga campaign.
