Left back Ramon leaves Flamengo to join Besiktas on loan
Brazilian full back Ramon, who is under contract at Corinthians, has joined Turkish side Besiktas in loan following a spell with Flamengo.
The left back will move to Turkey for six months, after which time he can move back to Corinithians should he fail to adapt to football and life in Turkey.
Ramon had dropped out of the reckoning at Flamengo, where he found himself behind João Paulo and former Arsenal left wing back André Santos in the battle for the left back position.
He will join another former Corinthians player, Dentinho, who plays for Besiktas on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk. The presence of a fellow Brazilian in the squad might help him settle in to his new surroundings.
Besiktas, who finished third in the Turkish league last season, were able to sign the player today as their transfer window doesn’t shut until tonight (Wednesday).
