Chelsea midfielder Oscar confident of making return against Portugal
Chelsea midfielder Oscar hopes to be back for the friendly match against Portugal in Boston on Tuesday.
The former Internacional player twisted his ankle during a training session in Brazil before the game against Australia.
His teammate Ramires replaced him, having an impressive performance and scored one of the goals in Brazil's 6-0 win.
Oscar talked with reporters as the Brazilian national team squad arrived in Boston for the game, he said: "Everyone knew that the game [against Australia] wouldn't be too hard.
"If it was an important game, I could have played, but it was better to have two more days to recover."
The midfielder also praised his Chelsea teammate Ramires, he said: "Not only Ramires did well, everyone else did well too."
Brazil will be missing Daniel Alves, Marcelo, Hulk and Fred on Tuesday, while Portugal will not be able to field Cristiano Ronaldo.
