Barcelona consider January swoop for Chelsea's David Luiz
Barcelona are lining up a January bid for Chelsea defender David Luiz, according to the club's president.
The 26-year-old was a target for the Catalans in the summer transfer window with a bid reportedly being placed.
The Brazilian international recently revealed it was a personal choice to turn down the Nou Camp's offer, but it looks likely Chelsea will be tested again when the January transfer window opens, reports Daily Star.
The President of the La Liga champions, Sandro Rosell, has revealed that the club will reconsider a bid for the Seleção star in January adding the 26-year-old's fee and wages were also a factor in the breakdown of the deal.
He told TV3: "Barcelona should not pay more than what the coach thinks is the right price for the salary. We did not recruit David Luiz because of a technical decision.
"But we will see what happens in January."
Barca were in the market for a centre-back this summer, having been linked to Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany and Liverpool's Daniel Agger but is seems Luiz is top of their list.
